b. 1990 BFA in Painting, Cleveland Institute of Art Margaret Stamm is a visual artist from Cleveland, Ohio. She describes her work as "Bucolic Surrealism;" absent the nightmares of Freud and influenced by Magritte, Matisse and Gauguin. Focusing on pattern and form the subject may become abstracted. In this way her works are meant to become tools of meditation. She's interested in discovering the sublime in the mundane. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held by both private and corporate collections. You can view her work at University Hospital's Seidman Cancer Center as well as the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center. In 2018 she was published in CAN Journal for her curatorial role at Shaker Community Gallery. She has exhibited work at Aqua Art Miami, New York and Poland. She has participated in panel discussions at The Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
